WEDNESDAY NIGHT MUSINGS

Hump Day comes to a close. I have one full day and three hours on Friday until the winter holiday. This is one of the times when teachers need a break. The weather here can't decide what time of year it is.

Teaching agreement requires the patience of Job. It is especially tricky when the students act like they have never been taught about pronouns. Today, the students reviewed pronouns and their cases. I find that if I slow down, the kids understand more.

The sixth graders completed two writing exercises to show their understanding of pronouns and pronoun cases. For the most part they got it.

I wish I could say the same for their reading assignment. The students read two memoirs and identified authors purpose and imagery.

Tomorrow the kiddos go to the computer lab.
